The CALP Public Event would be such that high profile dignitaries, with biased attention to the institution’s donors, will be invited to give a lecture at a particular time on the link between politics and literature with exemplary illustrations taken from Chinua Achebe’s creative works that are imbued with politics, or, simply, give a lecture on Achebe’s political philosophy as found in his treatise or memoir. Such dignitaries will be made to see the need to donate funds to the institution. In appreciation, the institution will offer a dignitary a distinguished badge of honour and thanks. When the time of The CALP Public Event approaches, a notice will be put up on the website in this section called “The CALP Public Event”, broadcasting the time of the event, the lecturer, and the venue.
